The Dutch and English took up residency in South Africa, and decided that they had the right to push around the people already living there. They took away all of their rights and treated the blacks as if they were the invaders. Race laws touched every aspect of social life, including a prohibition of marriage between non-whites and whites, and the sanctioning of "white-only'' jobs.

This is a def. a form of a witch hunt. The people that came into other homes and treated them like they werent human. They treated people who were of different races. This is sad that all of this happend.
Great example of a witch hunt! Blacks were discriminated against and the whites wanted to eliminate them. (eliminating their fear of them in the process)

This is a good example of a witch hunt. Anything to do with racism leads to a witch hunt. I don't think it was right to boss the black people around on their own land. That's pretty bad.

Most of these witch hunts I've read about, either have to do with religion or race. I have a hard time understanding why certain races believe they are superior to the other and they think they can just walk all over the other. This is horrible, but a great example of a witch hunt.

This is definately a witch hunt. What I find crazy is that the white people came into the black's home land, not the other way around. The whites thought they were superior and started pushing the blacks around. It is a witch hunt because they were attacking a certain group of people.

I agree this is a form of a witch hunt. I can’t believe they let those people come in and take over everything. Why would they let others treat them like crap? Nobody should be treated badly especially in their home country.

I don't exactly see the witch hunt in this it seems to me more like Social Darwinism at its best the belief that whites were superior and it was up to them to educate the barbarians.
Europeans had no rights to leave their nation and force laws upon Africans!
